Tasks and follow-ups
Tasks answer the daily question: What is the next action, for which client and who is responsible?
Tasks answer the daily question: **What is the next action, for which client and who is responsible? **
What are we recording?
Each task is necessarily linked to a company and can also be linked to a specific contact or deal. Includes:
- short title,
- type of action: task, call, email or meeting,
- responsible by workspace members,
- date and time of completion,
- priority,
- optional reminder time,
- internal notes.
Company, contact, deal and manager options are limited to the same workspace. A contact or a deal must also belong to the selected company.
Daily use
The page Tasks has two views. The option is stored only as the device's personal preference rather than as a business data.
The view List organizes work based on date. From there we can see:
- what needs to be done today,
- what comes later,
- what has been delayed,
- all open or integrated tasks,
- the tasks of the whole team or those not yet in charge.
View Board organizes work based on progress:
- The do: hasn't started yet,
- In progress: is in active processing,
- Waiting: waiting for a response or action from a third party,
- Completed: completed.
The task is moved with drag and drop from its grip or changing status through processing. Moving does not change the expiry date. The power and control filters work on both projections.
Checkbox completes a task without erasing its history and transferring it to Completed. A complete task can be opened again, so it returns to To do. Overview displays today's and delayed personal actions, while each deal shows its first open task as Next action.
What overdue means
Overdue is not manually saved. It is calculated when the completion time has passed and the task remains open. So the clue cannot be mistaken because someone forgot to change status.
Reminders
Reminder time is recorded and displayed in CRM. The current version does not yet send email or browser notifications; this requires reliable scheduler and separate notification mode setting.
Rights
Owners, administrators and members can create, process, complete and reopen tasks. Viewers can read them, but not change them. All endpoints apply tenant isolation.
